AP Art Poster

Here is a portion of the Ransom family. Unfortunately it is not shown in this photo, but my father is EXTREMELY handsome. I hope all of you who view this photograph appreciate Dilly Pickles and her greatness....

Next Plant

For my next concentration project I was thinking about making an abstract/ unique flower that is covered in moss. I really like the contrast of silver wire and the rich green color of the moss. Here is a picture that shows the potential project.

Andy Goldsworthy Video

Here is a really cool video of Andy Goldsworthy's pieces in the fall. He uses leaves, rocks, sticks, and the earth to create amazing pieces of art work. My favorite of his autumn collections is the one with the red, orange and yellow leaves. If you look closely at the last scene, there is a rock with the same sized hole as the circular leave collage. It's as if they are leading to one another. The music is kind of annoying so I suggest to turn it down or off.

Throw-A-Thon

The Throw-A-Thon was such a success! There were so many people, pots and pizzas. I actually made 4 pots which is a huge breakthrough with my throwing skills. I can not wait for the empty bowls which is coming up very soon!

A little sneak peek...

I was in my backyard over winter break, pondering of what I should to for my project. On the ground I found a stick that was was partly covered in leaves. It very much reminded me of an Andy Goldsworthy piece, so I thought... why not? I found a twig that was compositionally interesting and began glueing on individual fern leaves. The project was interesting but not as green as I hoped. A few of my classmates gave me suggestions on how to enhance the piece. Luckily it was what I had in mind originally, so I took it home and worked for a little longer. Here is a little sneak peek image of the accessories I added to the fern coverd twig.
